Brick Little League State Champs Honored by Mayor Ducey, Council

BRICK TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Brick Little League all-stars are the 2020 New Jersey Little League Champions.  Due to COVID-19, the team’s journey was stopped at the state level after Little League International canceled its international World Series tournament.  That tournament would have seen the Brick Township team travel to Connecticut and possibly Williamsport for the Little League World Series.  The regional tournament in Connecticut would have been televised on ESPN, but like so many other youth athletes this year, seasons have been terminated and cut short, but not before they could win the state title.  On Saturday, a special parade was held to honor the Brick Little League All Stars that won the State Championship for the first time since 1990. Mayor Ducey presented the team with a Mayoral Proclamation designating October 18 as Brick Little League 12 Year Old All-Stars Team Day. After the parade, the champs held a home run derby.
