Police Continue Investigating Bear WaWa Shooting Murder, Suspect Identified

Bear, DE – On October 20, 2020, at approximately 11:58 p.m., troopers were dispatched to Wawa located at 1100 Pulaski Highway, Bear, for a reported shooting. The investigation determined 24-year-old Daniel Hayeof Wilmington had an altercation in the parking lot and subsequently was shot twice while standing outside of a vehicle. Haye was transported to an area hospital by ambulance for a gunshot wound to his torso and leg and died on October 21, 2020 as a result of his injuries.

This case remains an active investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective D.
