Two Arrested After Springfield Traffic Stop Yields Illegal Guns

SPRINGFIELD, MA = The Springfield Police Department’s Narcotics Unit starts November off by seizing another firearm.  Late Saturday night, Springfield Police Narcotics Detectives received information that Ronald Ingram was in possession of a firearm. At approximately 12:30 am, Detectives located Mr. Ingram and conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Alderman and Pasadena Streets.
Detectives located a loaded firearm and arrested Mr. Ingram and his passenger Elijah Brown.
Mr. Ingram was convicted in January 2020 on firearms and drug charges.
23 year old Ronald Ingram of Wilmont Street is charged with:
• Carrying a Firearm without a License
• Carrying a Loaded Firearm on a Public Way
• Firearm Violation with 1 Prior Violent/Drug Crime
• Possession of a Firearm without a FID Card – Subsequent Offense
22 year old Elijah Brown of Wilmont Street is charged with:
• Carrying a Firearm without a License
• Carrying a Loaded Firearm on a Public Way
The Springfield Police Department’s Narcotics Unit seized 30 illegally possessed firearms in September & October.
