New Beginnings At Advocates In Action!
During these uncertain times, Advocates in Action (AIA) first and foremost wants to extend our deepest hopes that everyone has been safe and healthy during this unprecedented global pandemic.
In January 2021, AIA will be launching their first retail venture, Visionary Ink, a full service direct to garment printing studio. Why do we think Visionary Ink is well, Visionary? Great question, Visionary Ink’s business model is founded on hiring and training individuals with a variety of abilities and needs in the creative fields. Individuals with different abilities and needs are often not given the opportunity in the creative arts to pursue their skills and passion, at Visionary Ink, we provide that very experience. The goal is always employment and opportunity for all, Visionary Ink is one-way, AIA is expanding to give everyone an opportunity for employment.
In addition, AIA is also launching our employment program called Everyone Can Work (ECW). ECW will offer virtual and in-person employment services, such as Supported Employment, Pre-vocational Training and Career Planning, in accordance with all COVID-19 standard precaution practices advised by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). ECW is dedicated to ensuring that all individuals who receive services attain their employment aspirations. ECW’s approach to employment is simple, everyone can work! Our job is to be here to help you figure out how! At AIA, we understand that each individual is unique and our trained staff will develop an employment plan that is individualized and tailored to individuals’ strength, desires and needs
Along with our dedication to employment for all, AIA has several other initiatives that cater to the community in which we serve. The Influentials Podcast was created with the mission to allow people the platform to give a voice to their story. The mission of The Influentials is clear, we go through to bring others through, the podcast has proven to be a platform to encourage, empower and enlighten.
