Nancy Pelosi Wanted to Host State Dinner For Pols After Her City Shut Down Indoor Dining, Businesses

Nancy Pelosi has always been out of touch with the people of her district in California.  Nobody has ever accused her of leading by example.  This example was clear earlier this year when Nancy got caught getting her hair done in a San Francisco salon during the height of the lockdown when the average person couldn’t do the same.  Now, with her city in the midst of a second shut down that bans indoor dining for the general public, Nancy wanted to host a lavish state dinner in the U.S. Capitol for newly elected Democrats in Congress.  The dinner plan also comes as Democrats across the country are telling Americans to cancel their family Thanksgiving dinners.  They are above their own rules.  It has always been that way.

The controversy started when NBC correspondent Leigh Ann Caldwell posted the following tweet:

After a Twitter firestorm erupted, even from the liberal media, Pelosi’s team scaled back the lavish indoor reception.

“Our office strictly follows the guidance of the Office of Attending Physician, including for this dinner. To be a further model for the nation, this event has been modified to allow Members-elect to pick up their meals to go in a socially-distanced manner.” said Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s lap dog, we mean Chief of Staff.
