Police Investigating Stabbing in Berkeley’s Manitou Park Section

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Berkeley Township Police Chief Karin DiMichele have announced that the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Berkeley Township Police Department Detective Bureau, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit are currently investigating a stabbing that took place in the Manitou Park section of Berkeley Township on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

On November 14, 2020, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Officers from the Berkeley Township Police Department responded to the area of Magnolia Avenue for a report of a stabbing. Responding Officers found a 50 year-old male victim with a stab wound to the neck. The victim was taken to Community Medical Center and then transported to Robert Wood Johnson Memorial Hospital in New Brunswick, where he is currently listed in critical condition.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
