Buffalo Woman Guilty for Killing Pedestrian While DUI

BUFFALO, NY – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 44-year-old Tiffany M. Allen of Buffalo pleaded guilty today before State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to one count of Vehicular Manslaughter in the Second Degree, a Class “D” felony.

On December 7, 2019, at approximately 10:13 p.m., the defendant was driving, while under the influence of alcohol, northbound on Military Road in the City of Buffalo when she hit a pedestrian with her vehicle near Skillen Street. The victim, 51-year-old Jeffrey T. Chilson, was taken to ECMC where he later died from his injuries.

Allen faces a maximum of 7 years in prison when she is sentenced on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. She continues to be released on $2,500 bail previously posted in Buffalo City Court.


DA Flynn commends the Buffalo Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Paul Glascott of the DA’s Vehicular Crimes Bureau.
