Man Charged for Burglary in Lincoln

Lincoln, DE- Delaware State Police arrested 43-year-old Raymond E. Justice of Milford on burglary and related charges Friday morning after he was observed driving a stolen John Deere tractor.

On November 20, 2020, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Delaware State Police were dispatched to Benson Road for a reported burglary. The investigation determined a John Deere tractor was stolen from inside a detached garage sometime between Thursday evening and early Friday morning. As the trooper was investigating the burglary, a John Deere tractor matching the description of the stolen tractor drove past the trooper on Pine Haven Road. A traffic stop was conducted on the tractor and the operator, later identified as Raymond E. Justice, was contacted and a criminal investigation ensued.  Through the investigation it was determined the John Deere tractor being operated by Justice was the stolen tractor. A search of Justice incident to arrest yielded drug paraphernalia and approximately 0.04 grams of crack cocaine. Justice was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 7 where he was charged with the following crimes:

  • Burglary 2nd Degree (Felony)
  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Justice was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $12,400.00 cash bond.
