BUFFALO, NY – Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 61-year-old Benjamin Frost, Sr. of Buffalo pleaded guilty this morning before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia to one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “B” felony. The defendant appeared in court virtually to plead guilty to the highest sustainable charge in the indictment against him.
On March 27, 2019, at approximately 9:50 p.m., the defendant attacked a female victim with a samurai sword, with the intent to cause her death, inside an apartment at the Kenfield Homes on Edison Avenue in the City of Buffalo.
The victim was taken by ambulance to ECMC where she was treated for severe cuts to her head, arms, hand, thighs and back. She is still recovering from her injuries.
Frost faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. He was remanded without bail.
