Man Shot in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, CT – Friday, November 27, around 2:00 AM, a gunshot victim walked into the emergency room at Yale New Haven Hospital. The 46-year-old New Haven man had a gunshot wound to the foot.
New Haven patrol officers responded to the hospital and learned the incident occurred outside a house in the area of Read Street and Newhall Street. During the overnight and this morning, detectives canvassed a portion of the Newhallville neighborhood. Anyone with information is asked to contact the New Haven Police Department at 203-946-6304. Callers may remain anonymous.
It is unknown if the Newhallville shooting is connected to the earlier Thursday evening shootings in the West Rock and Cedar Hill neighborhoods. In the eight hours between 6:00 PM Thursday and 2:00 AM Friday, New Haven Police are investigating three reported shooting incidents in which five men were injured. All the gunshot victims are expected to recover.
