Police Say Unemployed Cab Driver with Crowbar Forced His Way into Woman’s Home in Wildwood

WILDWOOD, NJ  – On Saturday, November 21, 2020, at approximately 22:13 hours, the Wildwood Police Department Uniformed Patrol Division responded to the 300 block of East Magnolia Avenue within the City of Wildwood for the report of an unwanted guest possessing a weapon at that location. Arriving officers made contact with the actor, Donald Falcone, a 62-year-old unemployed cab driver from North Wildwood, standing outside the property.

The investigation revealed that the victims were inside their residence when Falcone knocked on the door to their apartment. As the female victim opened the door, Falcone forced his way inside while holding a crowbar-type object in a manner which led her to believe that he was preparing to strike her. A male resident of the apartment who observed Falcone’s actions rushed to intervene, pushing Falcone backwards and away from the female victim.

Falcone then dropped the crowbar and retrieved two nearby kitchen knives. After a brief struggle, the victims were ultimately able to disarm Falcone, during which the male victim sustained a small laceration to his upper back. Falcone then exited the residence.

The victims immediately contacted police and Falcone was stopped by officers moments later while still on the property.

The Wildwood Police Department Detective Division continued the investigation, securing formal statements from the parties involved. As a result, Falcone was charged with the following offenses:
Aggravated Assault – 2 counts
Unlawful Possession of a Weapon – 2 counts
Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose – 2 counts
These charges were placed on a warrant complaint and Falcone was ultimately lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in accordance with New Jersey Criminal Justice Reform guidelines.
