New Jersey State Police See to Identify Body of Woman Found Along Train Tracks in Elizabeth

ELIZABETH, NJ – A body of a woman found along train tracks in Elizabeth in June has to to be identified and the New Jersey State Police are asking for your help.  The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit and the Union County Prosecutor’s Office are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the body of a woman that was found along railroad tracks in Union County.
On Thursday, June 11, the body of an unidentified woman was found along railroad tracks just off the 300 block of Port Avenue in Elizabeth, N.J.
Forensic examination determined that the deceased was a black and/or Hispanic female, 25-35 years old with a slender build. It is estimated that the deceased was approximately 5’6″ and weighed 125-140 pounds. She had double piercings in both ears, short hair, and may have worn a wig or other head covering.
Detectives are also attempting to identify a vehicle of interest in this investigation. The vehicle appears to be a light-colored 2000-2006 model year Toyota Highlander with brightly polished rims and a roof rack.
