D.C. convenience stored robbed…all the cartons of Newport cigs taken

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two men robbed a convenience store in the nation’s capital, forcing the cashier to the ground before taking a case full of cartons of Newport 100’s.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in reference to a Robbery of an Establishment offense that occurred on Thursday, November 26, 2020, in the 1300 block of 9th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 9:55 am, the suspects entered an establishment at the listed location. Once inside, the suspects demanded US currency and property from an employee. The employee complied and the suspects fled the scene with the property.


The suspects were captured by a surveillance camera and can be seen in the video below:

Anyone who can identify these individuals or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
