ROCHESTER, NY – On November 29th, 2020 at 0200 hours the Gates Police midnight shift officers responded to 2366 Lyell Avenue – CBD Supply for the commercial burglar alarm. Upon officers’ arrival in the area, they noticed the front door of the location had been broken out. While officers were responding to the alarm 3 males were spotted on Lyell Avenue in the area heading eastbound from the scene. Upon detaining the 3 males they were found to be in possession of over $3,000 worth of merchandise taken from the business.
Anthony Walker (18 years old from Rochester, pictured below black shirt), Ismael Matos (18 years old from Rochester, pictured below white shirt), and a 13-year-old were arrested for BURGLARY 3rd DEGREE, GRAND LARCENY 3rd DEGREE and CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 4th DEGREE in relation to this incident.
Anthony Walker was found to currently be on probation for Robbery 2nd with Monroe County. Walker was sent to Monroe County Jail with a $3000 cash bail / $6000 bond.
Ismael Matos was found to have an active Gates warrant stemming from a previous burglary incident on March 18th 20202 where Matos was arrested for breaking into the Italian Sports Club on
Buffalo Road. Matos was released to pre-trial services with a new court date for all charges.
Further, Gates Police arrested Dililah Matos-Velez (38 years old from Rochester NY) for ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD. During the course of this investigation, Dililiah was identified as the mother and guardian of the 13-year-old involved in this case.
Through the investigation, it was learned that a lack of supervision was provided for the 13-year-old child and subsequently these charges have been filed. Dililiah will appear in Gates court at a later date.
