Forked River woman caught in Barnegat with meth by State Police

FORKED RIVER, NJ – The New Jersey State Police have arrested Buffy Schoonmaker, 48, of Forked River, N.J. as a result of a motor vehicle stop that led to the seizure of $425 worth of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
On Saturday, November 28, at 11:57 a.m., troopers from Tuckerton Station stopped Schoonmaker for a traffic violation on County Road 539 north at milepost 14 in Barnegat Township, Ocean County.
During the stop, troopers discovered that Schoonmaker was in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and THC oil. She was arrested without incident.
Buffy Schoonmaker was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Schoonmaker was released pending a court appearance.
Charges are mere accusations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
