Body washed up on beach Jersey Shore, police investigating

BRIGANTINE, NJ – Human remains washed ashore on the beach in Brigantine, New Jersey on Thursday ad the Brigantine Police Department and New Jersey State Police are investigating.  Police said an autopsy will be performed on the remains at the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and it is unknown what the cause of death is at this time. Police also have not yet been able to identify the body.  The body was discovered by a passerby on the northern end of the beach on Thursday.
