How a classical pianist manages to uplift people’s hearts during the COVID-19 and with the shut-down of the Music Industry

1 min read

I am originally from Southern New Jersey (Atlantic County Area) but I moved up to New Brunswick NJ in 2018. I am a current Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at Rutgers University-Mason Gross School of the Arts as a classical piano major. There are 2 news I would like to share with you regarding how COVID-19 has impacted the music industry and what I did my best to adapt to it in addition to how people have responded to it.

1) Taking over the Music Director position at Spotswood Reformed Church and changing the way music was broadcasted to the congregation and how I was able to obtain an excellent quality baby grand for free to use in the Church
2) How I am teaching, performing virtually while taking on a rough doctoral degree at the same time. (Next live-streaming concert is this Monday, December 7, 2020 @ 10:30am via Facebook LIVE with my trio)
If this topic is something you would be interested in covering, do let me know. I was featured on national television several times including NBC (America’s Got Talent) and CBS News Philly and performed worldwide. I have been featured in the Press of Atlantic City several times when I was in high school.  I have a Bachelor and Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music, New York City as a classical piano major.
