SWAT team responds to man shooting gun from trailer in Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, CO – Police ended an armed standoff without incident after shots were fired from a trailer by a man being investigated for assault police here said.

At 3:35 AM deputies were dispatched to the 5500 block of Federal Blvd. for an assault in progress. When deputies arrived they were advised that the suspect was possibly armed with a gun. When the deputies attempted to make contact the suspect barricaded himself inside the residence. The deputies on scene began negotiations as our SWAT & crisis negotiations team were deployed.

At some point, during the negotiations, shots were fired from the residence. SWAT deputies breached the trailer and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. No one was injured during the incident. Thank you to all surrounding residents for your patience as this incident came to a safe conclusion for all involved.
