LAKE CITY, FL – On Monday, December 7, 2020, at 4:45 P.M., officers from the Lake City Police Department were advised of a robbery that had just occurred at 1310 NW Eadie Street. The victim was able to flee the residence and call 911 providing a vehicle description as well as a direction of travel. The suspects were a black male and black female.

Responding officers located the vehicle on NW Ridgewood Avenue traveling south. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted by officers on the vehicle in a parking lot at the intersection of NW Ridgewood Avenue and W US Hwy 90. All occupants were safely removed from the vehicle and secured separately in patrol cars.

Upon interviewing the victim, it was determined that the male suspect and victim have an ongoing feud based on accusations one made about the other. Today’s incident involved the female suspect inviting the victim over to her residence. Once the victim arrived, he was invited in and was seated on the couch when he observed the male suspect pointing a black gun at him. A physical altercation followed, during which the victim’s cell phone was dropped. The victim was able to break free and run outside where a passerby allowed him to use their phone to call 911.

A search of the vehicle after the stop, and arrest of the occupants, revealed a black firearm partially under the front passenger seat as well as the victim’s cell phone.
