Firefighters battle blaze in Downtown Bakersfield at Tina Marie’s Cafe

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Overnight, firefighters from the Bakersfield Fire Department and Kern County Fire Department battle a blaze in Downtown Bakersfield above the Tina Marie’s Downtown Cafe.  At 2:11 on Saturday morning, crews were dispatched to a working fire at 2006 Chester Ave. The first units on scene requested additional alarms and deployed several large hand lines to protect exposures.
“We used two ladder trucks to flow large amounts water during the operation,” the department said. “There are no injuries to report. The fire is under investigation.”
