15-year-old stabs sister to death in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – A 15-year-old boy confessed to police officers at the crime scene of a deceased woman that he stabbed his sister to death on Saturday.  According to police, on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 9:06 pm, Columbus Police Officers were called to the area of 777 Butler Ave. on a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found 28-year-old Sinnea Thomas suffering from wounds that appeared consistent with a stabbing.

Thomas was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition where he was pronounced deceased at 10 pm.  Shortly after Thomas had been transported from the scene his 15-year-old brother approached officers guarding the scene and admitted to the stabbing.

The investigation revealed that the brothers had been arguing and fighting throughout the day. Prior to the incident, the brothers had already physically fought several times. Before the stabbing, the 15-year-old armed himself with a knife and then stabbed his brother when the two began fighting again.
