Two arrested for murder of Lakewood woman earlier this week at Safeway

LAKEWOOD, CO  – Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Lakewood on Tuesday that left one woman dead.

On Tuesday at approximately 1:28 p.m., Lakewood Police Agents were called to the Safeway located in the 9100 block of West Colfax Ave. for reports of shots fired. Agents arrived on scene and found an adult female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Agents immediately started life saving measures, but she ultimately succumbed to those injures and died. The victim has been identified as 59-year-old Charlotte Williams of Arvada.

On Wednesday , 36-year-old Clenon Shernar Redd (DOB: 7/22/84) of Aurora was arrested in connection with the murder. He is currently being held at the Jefferson County jail on suspicion of committing 1st Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence.


Early this Saturday a second suspect, 37-year-old Donald Robinson (DOB: 8/2/83) of Aurora, was arrested by troopers with the Texas State Highway Patrol near Sunset, TX. He is currently being held at the Wise County (TX) jail awaiting extradition to Jefferson County on suspicion of committing 1st Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery.

Lakewood Police are currently looking for a third person of interest in this case. She is described as an adult female (unknown ethnicity) in her mid-30s. She was last seen leaving the scene wearing a white jacket with black pants and possibly later, a black jacket with white pants.
