Debra Messing, the star of Will and Grace showed her lack of grace in a tweet this week hoping for President Donald J. Trump to get raped in jail.

“@realDonaldTrump you are a weak, scared, stupid, inept, negligent, vindictive, narcissistic, criminal,” Messing wrote. “I hope you live a long life in prison where you become the most popular boyfriend to … all inmates,” Messing tweeted.  Messing plays the starring role of Grace Adler on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace which ran from 1998 to 2006 before being picked up again in 2017.   She is a divorcee, divorced from her former husband Daniel Zelman.

Messing was called homophobic by many of her fans and pundits.  She doubled down on her statement trying to rationalize her call for the rape of another human being.

“Trump has perpetrated violence on hundreds of millions of people,” she tweeted. “My hope is (and this is the first time in my life) that the tables are turned and he is the victim of perpetrators.”

Oh, the tolerant left, hoping a person gets raped, but she’s from Hollywood, so it’s not sure it counts.

After getting heat from the LBGTQ community for her insensitive remark, she later apologized and got a do-over.

“I’d like to say I have been an LGBTQIA ally for decades, and I was in no way referencing LGBTQI/queer love/sexuality. It is not my proudest moment, but 45 has victimized 100s of millions of ppl; I had wished the tables turned on him. I apologize for the offensive way I did it,” she said.
