Pensacola man shot family member during heated argument

PENSACOLA, FL –  On December 18th around 1:10 p.m. ECSO deputies responded to a shooting victim in the 2300- block of Packwood Drive. Inside the home deputies located Christopher Roan (DOB: 10/17/82) deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect, James Blackmon 54, was located moments later and arrested.
Blackmon was charged with 2nd degree murder, 1st Degree Attempted Pre-meditated Murder and Deadly Missiles. The murder stemmed from an argument between the two family members and escalated when Blackmon shot and killed Roan.
