NFL Monday Night Football Odds: Steelers vs. Bengals

Shore News Network

CINCINNATI, OH – There are only two more installments of NFL Monday Night Football left in the 2020 season and the first one is tonight between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.  The Steelers had a hot streak this year, going 11-0.  Joe Wiz is also on a winning streak in 2020 and here’s what he has to say about this week’s MNF matchup. Send Joe a text to get his picks now.

“The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to get back on track after losing two straight games,” Wiz said. “An 11-2 record would be considered a tremendous season about the Steelmen started 11-0 and have looked anything but Super Bowl contenders.”

In the recent loss to Buffalo (26-15) they were held to a total of just 224 yards and two takeaways.

These two teams met at Heinz Field on November 15th and Pitt had their way 36-10 and that was with Bengals star QB Joe Burrow.

The Bengals took a big hit looking Burrow and have sputtered on Offense where they scored just 7, 7, 17, 9, and 10 points in their last 5 games. Pittsburgh still has a shot at securing the #1 seed on the AFC but unless KC loses one of its last two games Pittsburgh will not be getting a bye in the first round of the playoffs as they still have the Colts and Browns in the next two weeks.

“The line for tonight’s game has Pittsburgh favored by 14.5 points and the total is 40,” Wiz said. “Mike Tomlin and the Steelers have beaten Cincinnati 10 straight times while five of the last six games have gone under the total and eight of ten have gone under.”

Just when you thought there was no hope for the Bengals to get the cover with the hefty double-digit spread, stats might suggest otherwise. Since 1990 Pittsburgh is just 21-35-1 ATS as DD road favorites and recently just 1-4 ATS laying the double digits. It’s 2020 and anything is possible as we can look at the Jets +17 big upset yesterday when they shocked the Rams. While we aren’t going to call for another upset, points could be at a premium especially for the Bengals who are averaging 10 ppg last 5 games.
