INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FL – An Indian River woman was taken into custody after fleeing deputies trying to conduct a traffic stop on her vehicle.  According to police, the driver chooses to drive over five minutes, and two miles while recording a live Facebook video for seven minutes instead of pulling over for authorities.

“Ebony Tommie was driving into her subdivision when seen by Dep. Curby. He attempted to conduct a traffic stop knowing she has a suspended license and an active warrant,” the Indian River Sheriff’s Office said. “Tommie refused to pull over and began driving through South County obeying all traffic laws. While she was doing this, Tommie went live on Facebook.”

She eventually pulled into the Cumberland Farms at 27th Ave. and Oslo Road where she was taken into custody. A similar event took place a few days ago. She was taken to jail and charged with fleeing and eluding police, resisting arrest without violence, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and failure to appear.
