Couple caught burglarizing store at Atlantic City Tanger Outlets

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – Police in Atlantic City reported the arrest of a man and a woman for burglarizing a clothing store at the Tanger Outlets within the city.  On January 2, 2021, a man and woman were arrested after an officer observed them burglarizing a store. At 7:43 am, Officer Thomas Gilardi was patrolling the area of the Tanger Outlets- The Walk when he observed Amanda Reynolds pacing back and forth near the Abercrombie & Fitch store. At the time, all of stores were closed. As Officer Gilardi continued to watch, he observed Duane Napper exit the store carrying a large bag and begin to walk away with Reynolds.

Officer Gilardi went to stop the pair when he observed that the front glass door of the store had been smashed. Napper and Reynolds were arrested without incident. The bag contained nearly $2,700 in stolen merchandise.

ARRESTED: Duane Napper, 46, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and conspiracy.
Napper was released on a summons with a future court date.

ARRESTED: Amanda Reynolds, 28, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ.
CHARGES: Burglary, theft, and conspiracy, and contempt of court.
Reynolds was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
