New Year’s Eve Gunfire Strike Bedroom of 6-Year-Old Girl

ARLINGTON, TX – Police in Arlington suspect a bullet that shot through a window of the bedroom of a six-year-old girl was a stray bullet from celebratory gunfire on New Year’s Eve.

The bullet penetrated the child’s glass window in her bedroom as she slept.

“Shortly after midnight on New Year’s, possibly around 1 a.m. this morning, a bullet projectile entered a bedroom window on Burr Oak Street as a result of presumed celebratory gunfire,” said Arlington Police on New Year’s Day.  “This occurred while a 6-year old child slept in the room.Thankfully the child was not injured.”
Anyone with information, please contact APD or Crime Stoppers 817-469-TIPS. We would like to bring the person or persons responsible for this reckless act to justice.
