New Year’s Eve Shooter Eludes Capture in Portland

PORTLAND, OR – A shooting victim was seriously injured after a shooting in the Hazelwood neighborhood, and a search for suspect or suspects is underway.

On Friday, January 1, 2020, at 2:45a.m., East Precinct officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Southeast 146th Avenue. When they arrived they located a victim with serious injuries. The officers immediately offered medical assistance until paramedics arrived and transported him to the hospital by ambulance.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information is being released at this time. If anyone has information about this case, please e-mail crimetips@portlandoregon.gov. Reference case number 21-133.
