San Antonio Detective Seek Help Finding Murderer of Woman, Veteran Shortly After New Year’s Eve

SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio police are seeking the public’s assistance in helping to find the person who murdered Arm veteran Jessica Mitchell.  Homicide detectives need the public’s assistance on a murder that happened Friday, January 1, 2021 shortly after 2:00 a.m.   Officers were dispatched to eastbound IH-10 and West Ave. for a stranded vehicle in the left lane causing a hazard. Officers arrived and found a white 2019 Dodge Charger (similar to the one pictured) with multiple gunshots to the driver’s side door and window. The victim, 30-year-old Jessica Mitchell, was transported by EMS to University Hospital where she was pronounced deceased by hospital staff. The suspect vehicle is possibly red in color and should have damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.  Anyone with information is asked to please contact SAPD’s Homicide Unit at (210) 207-7635.
