Muskegon Heights Police Charge Two for New Year’s Gunfire

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, MI – Two men were charged by the Muskegon Heights Police Department for firing their guns in celebration on New Year’s Eve.

According to police here, on New Year’s Day at approximately 12:15 am, MHPD received multiple calls of Shots Fired on the 3200-BLK of Sanford. Upon arrival, multiple witnesses stated that two males were shooting in front a residence in the area. Officers later made contact with two males and found the three firearms below. Both males have been lodged at the Muskegon County Jail on multiple charges, including CCW violations.

“MHPD would like to thank all the witnesses who stepped up, and assisted us in getting these individuals and guns off the street,” said Interim Chief Sain “This community is strong! This community is untouchable when we work together to fight crime! I can’t thank you all enough for doing your part.”
