Atlantic City SWAT team recovers gun, cocaine, arrest 4

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ -Police in Atlantic City have arrested four people for drug and weapons charges.

According to an Atlantic City Police Department, on January 4, 2021, Special Investigations Section detectives following up on a complaint of narcotics distribution arrested four individuals and recovered a handgun and cocaine.

At 5:45 pm, detectives attempted to stop a motor vehicle in the beach block of North Carolina Avenue in reference to their ongoing investigation. The vehicle driven by Jordan Ragland fled from the detectives. The vehicle was located at North Carolina and Baltic Avenues and the occupants were fleeing the area. Ragland and David Miller, the target of the investigation, were apprehended.
Detectives along with members of the department’s SWAT Team then executed a search warrant on a motel room at the Rodeway Inn. Donald Lewis and Jessica Dudley were arrested in the room. Detectives recovered a stolen handgun, cocaine, a bullet-proof vest, and paraphernalia used to package and sell narcotics.


ARRESTED: David Miller, 43, of Pleasantville, NJ.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, receiving stolen property, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

ARRESTED: Donald Lewis, 35, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, receiving stolen property, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

ARRESTED: Jessica Dudley, 34, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, certain person not to possess a weapon, receiving stolen property, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
The above have been remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

ARRESTED: Jordan Ragland, 28, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Eluding, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice.
