Columbus woman attacked and robbed while loading groceries into car in Kroger’s lot

COLUMBUS, OH – Police in Columbus are searching for a female suspect who attacked and robbed a 51-year-old woman loading her groceries into her car in Kroger’s parking lot.

Police said on Saturday at 1:34 pm, the 51-year-old victim was placing groceries in the rear of her vehicle in the Kroger parking lot at 1745 Morse Rd. when an unknown female suspect approached.
The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse and a struggle ensued.

The victim and suspect fought over the purse and the suspect struck the victim in the face. During the struggle the victim fell to the ground and the suspect gained control of the purse.


The suspect ran to a newer model, silver Nissan Altima & fled the area with a second female suspect. The victim sustained minor injuries which did not require medical attention at this time.

The suspect was described as: female, 16-20 years old, thin build, dark hair in a bun, wearing a black short sleeve shirt, jeans, and possibly red shoes.

The incident was captured on surveillance video. The victim of the offense is not being identified at this time.
