El Nido brothers facing murder charges after stabbing man in front of their home

EL NIDO, CA – Two El Nido brothers are in jail, facing murder charges after chasing and stabbing to death a man who was standing in front of their home when they arrived at their house.

According to Merced County Sheriff’s Office, on January 9, 2021, at approximately 2239 hours, Merced County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 11000 block of Orchard Way, El Nido for a report of a male subject trying to gain access into their residence by force. Prior to deputies arriving, the male subject entered the residence. The male homeowner along with his brother came home and confronted the individual in front of their residence.

The brothers chased the male and a struggle ensured. During the altercation, the male was stabbed multiple times by both brothers identified as Victor and Guillermo Candelario. Upon deputies arriving they located the male unresponsive and began life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived. The male was pronounced on the scene and both brothers were detained. Victor and Guillermo were booked into the Merced County Jail for murder.
