Two arrested in West Sacramento for prowling, stealing from VFW, Boy Scouts

SACRAMENTO, CA – Two suspects were arrested Sunday morning in West Sacramento for theft, prowling and trespassing according to police.

The West Sacramento Police Department early Sunday morning announced, two suspects were arrested for petty theft, prowling, trespassing, possession of methamphetamine, and warrants when they were caught inside the locked gates of the city Corp yard on South River Road. Through investigation, it was later determined that they were the same suspects that had been observed previously the same night committing a burglary at the VFW Hall on Drever street in West Sacramento.

When the suspects were released from jail they were contacted again and interviewed regarding the VFW burglary. They were re-arrested/booked into jail again for the second time the same day and the stolen property from the VFW was located and returned. Nice job to our Patrol and Special Investigations Unit for bringing some resolution for our local VFW and the Boy Scouts Troop who had belongings stolen this weekend.
