DAYTON, MD – The Howard County Police Department is investigating a fatal collision involving multiple vehicles early in the evening on Monday. The department said six vehicles were involved.in the crash in Dayton.
Officers were called to Route 32 about a mile north of Linden Church Road at approximately 2:47 p.m. for a report of a collision involving multiple vehicles.
One driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, an adult female, was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. Two others were taken to Howard County General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. Route 32 is expected to remain closed in both directions for an extended period of time.
