Toms River Education Foundation Raises $10,000 for New Toms River School Sports Uniforms

TOMS RIVER, NJ – The Toms River Education Foundation was able to raise $10,000 to purchase new school uniforms for the Toms River Regional School District.  The foundation hosted a 5k event in 2020, in a year hampered by COVID-19 restrictions in place by Democrat Governor Phil Murphy.

Despite the restrictions, the event was able to go on as planned in November.  The Race began in front of the library in downtown Toms River and ran through downtown Toms River and scenic neighborhoods.  The event was the brainchild of local resident Jennifer Howe.  Toms River Councilman Terrance Turnbach claims credit for creating the foundation.  At Tuesday’s council meeting, fellow Democrat Laurie Huryk said Turnbach’s effort is selfless. Turnbach, a lawyer in Toms River has no children in the public school district.

Even at work, Turnbach is selfless.  He specializes as a criminal defense attorney representing the dregs of society.  Murderers, rapists, sexual offenders and child predators.  Turnbach gives hope to those who society normally turns away from.  Turnbach’s passion for fellow human beings is unrivaled in Toms River as he hopes to one day build a homeless shelter in Toms River.   We salute Terrance Turnbach for his selflessness.
