MEMPHIS, TN – Tennessee Congressman, Democrat Steve Cohen today shared a disturbing video tweet from former ESPN sports analyst Keith Olbermann. Olbermann called on Presdient Joe Biden to use the 25,000 armed National Guard troops to be dispersed throughout America to seize and arrest all supporters of Donald Trump.
“These psychotic Trump worshippers and Republican facists,” Olbermann said. “They are a menace to everything this country stands for. Arrest them. Charge them. Convict them. Imprison them.”
Olbermann shares Cohen’s radical left conspiracy theory that the National Guard troops at the nation’s capital pose a risk to Biden and America because they are mostly made up of young white men who probably didn’t vote for Biden. The FBI on Monday said each of the 25,000 National Guard troops stationed in Washington, D.C. have been vetted three times by the agency.
Despite Olbermann’s call for violence and unlawful arrests of Americans, bot his tweet and account remain active on Twitter.
