Suspect caught in Columbus stabbing

COLUMBUS, OH –  On January 17, 2021, at 5:37 pm, officers were dispatched to 1817 Lockbourne Rd. on a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found 60-year-old Richard Carr suffering from multiple stab wounds. Carr told the officers that he had a friend over and then for no known reason he attacked Carr stabbing him multiple times.

Carr did state that the suspect stabbed himself in the neck area during the incident. He explained the suspect fled from the scene.

The suspect has been identified as 27-year-old Dustin Parsley. Warrants have been filed for his arrest. He is currently hospitalized. -Det. Younker*


Carr was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
