You’re Fired! White House Chief Usher Fired

WASHINGTON, DC  – CORRECTION: After our publication, it was learned that it was Donald Trump who fired the usher hours earlier.

According to Wikipedia, the White House chief usher is the head of household staff and operations at the White House, the official residence and principal workplace of the president of the United States of America. Timothy Harleth was appointed the current chief usher by President Donald Trump on June 23, 2017 and released from service by President Joseph Biden on January 20, 2021.

President Trump did not let go of Obama’s Chief usher into well into his term. Angella Reid, the first woman in that job was able to keep her job six months before the Trumps felt the need for a switch.  The First Lady’s Office typically decides who the White House Usher is.  Jill Biden’s office did not respond to the media for comment.
