Two brothers fought at Florida Walmart Until One Dropped His Gun

AVON PARK, FL – The Highlands County Sheriff’s Office said there was no threat to the public after concerned residents were worried about a fight inside the Avon Park Walmart.  According to police, two brothers got into a fight at the customer service area. During the struggle, a gun that was being legally carried by one of the men fell to the ground.

“There were no shots fired and nobody used the gun as a threat,” the department said.  “The store was evacuated by management.”

The two brothers were placed under arrest, one for two counts of affray and the other for one count of affray and one count of being in possession of a handcuff key.
