Police say drinking daughter sent mom to hospital during violent scuffle

JACKSON COUNTY, FL – On January 24th at approximately 3:18 p.m. the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a physical, domestic disturbance on Fieldstone Ct. near Marianna. Upon arrival Deputies discovered that Ashley Elizabeth Davis, 23, had reportedly been drinking and had become involved in a verbal dispute with her parents that turned violent. Davis’ father received bruises and scratches consistent with his account of the altercation, and Davis’s mother was knocked to the ground during the scuffle, causing injuries that required her to be transported by ambulance to Jackson Hospital. Ashley Davis was arrested and charged with Battery on a Person 65 Years or Older and Battery. She was lodged in the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
