Two women shot at, one struck during midnight drug deal gone bad in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – A drug deal went bad and the guns came out in Columbus overnight.  According to police, this morning, at 12:15 am, two female victims traveled to the area of 483 N. Garfield Ave. in order to meet with an unknown person to purchase drugs.

When they arrived and spoke with two male black suspects who were standing in the alley, one displayed a handgun and demanded their money.

The victims attempted to drive away and one of the suspects dove into the passenger’s window of the car and fired one shot striking the driver in the leg. The victims then stopped the car and surrendered cash to the suspect.


The victims sped away and drove to Grant Hospital where the injured victim was treated for a minor gunshot wound. Detectives responded and evidence was collected.

The case is still under investigation.
