CAMBRIDGE, MA – On Wednesday, at approximately 12:47 pm officers were called to the 700 block of Washington Street in reference to shots being fired.

The investigation led to a residence in the 700 block of Washington Street. While conducting the investigation a male juvenile became disorderly and began resisting arrest by kicking two officers and spitting on another. The male juvenile was charged with two counts of assault on Police, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and hindering.

The juvenile was then released back to his guardian.

A short time later officers learned that the same male juvenile had a body attachment warrant to be served on him. Officers responded back to his residence at which time he again refused officers commands. One officer approached the juvenile at which time the juvenile punched the officer in the face, continued to swing, kick, and resist arrest. After spitting on the officers, the juvenile continued to kick and had to be physically placed in a patrol vehicle. The juvenile was again charged with assault, resisting arrest and other related charges and is being held by juvenile services pending action by the court. The juvenile did not sustain any injuries; however, one officer received facial injuries which he was treated for and later released at the hospital.
