Bakersfield Police Searching for Suspects Pointing Gun at Motorists

BAKERSFIELD, CA – The Bakersfield Police department is seeking to identify suspects who drove alongside a vehicle and pointed a gun at an adjacent motorist.  The incident occurred on December 9, 2020 in the 1200 block of East California Avenue.

“We are requesting the community’s assistance in identifying the suspects in an aggravated assault with a firearm offense,” the Bakersfield Police Department said.

Police are now searching for two black males.  One black male is an adult, late twenties to early thirties, clean shaven, short black hair, wearing a black sweatshirt armed with a black handgun
The other adult black male is in his late twenties, black sweatshirt, black knit cap, with a chinstrap beard armed with a black handgun.


The suspects were last seen in a possible 2018 Jeep Compass, dark grey in color with stock rims. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call Detective Benavente at (661) 326-3809 or (661) 327-7111.
