BEAUMONT, CA – On Monday, February 1, 2021, at approximately 6:11 p.m. dispatch received several 911 calls reporting gunshots heard in the area of Littler Lane and Devlin Drive. Officers arrived on scene and were met by several neighbors who directed officers to a vehicle parked on the street that had several bullet holes. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the shooting, as was the home the vehicle was parked in front of. Witnesses in the area were unable to provide a vehicle or suspect description. No injuries were reported and investigators have reason to believe the shooting was not random and may have been the result of a domestic dispute.
This case is still under investigation. The Beaumont Police Department is asking for residents in the area who have surveillance cameras to check for any activity around the time of the shooting. Information can be provided to the On-Duty Watch Commander at 951-769-8500 or reported anonymously at crimetips@beaumontpd.org.
