Notexactly.News – White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki is being quoted as saying President Joe Biden did not want to unite Democrats and Republicans in February of 2021 after the President earlier claimed he wants to unify the country. The post refers to a recent press conference video.

White House Press Secretary Jennifer Psaki said President Joe Biden does not want to unite Democrats and Republicans after being challenged on his campaign promise to bring unity to America.  In that press conference, Psaki is heard saying, “He didn’t run on a promise to unite the Democratic and Republican parties into one party”

Is it fake news?

Psaki said, “The ran on unifying the country and putting forward ideas that would help address the crisis we’re facing, he didn’t run on a promise to unite the Democrat and Republican party as one party in Washington.”

she pretty much did say it, though his press secretary who is the media interface to the President directly.  While he did not say he didn’t want to unify Americans, he did in fact say that he did not run on a platform to unite Democrats and Republicans in Congress and the Senate.  Those elected officials are representatives of the people they serve.  Yes, in a roundabout way, he said it, in so many words.
