Reginald Branch charged for stabbing murder in Buffalo home

BUFFALO, NY – A Buffalo man was arraigned for the stabbing murder of another man inside a home on Kilhoffer Street in Buffalo.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that 30-year-old Reginald Branch, Jr. of Buffalo was virtually arraigned this morning before Buffalo City Court Judge Diane Y. Wray on one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-I” felony.

“The defendant is accused of fatally stabbing 50-year-old Damion O. Jones inside the victim’s home on Kilhoffer Street in the City of Buffalo on December 1, 2020,” Flynn said.


Branch is scheduled to return on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. for a felony hearing. He was remanded without bail.

DA Flynn commends Det. Sgt. Chris Plizka and Det. Ray Krug of the Buffalo Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ryan D. Haggerty of the DA’s Homicide Bureau.
