Jeep has announced it has pulled the ad featuring Bruce Springsteen after it was reported that the Jersey rocker was charged with DWI.  For now, Jeep’s “Road Ahead” campaign will be on pause.

“It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a matter we have only read about and we cannot substantiate,” Jeep told the New York Times. “But it’s also right that we pause our Big Game commercial until the actual facts can be established.”

The ad called upon Americans to meet each other in the middle, but many took it as a sign for the right to see things the way the left sees them and that it was a politically driven propaganda message. Springsteen and Jeep have both received heat from both sides of the political aisle over the ad which premiered during Super Bowl LV.

TMZ reported Springsteen was pulled over and ticketed while driving while intoxicated within New Jersey’s Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area, a national park at the northern tip of the Jersey Shore.
