Man shot by stray bullet while laying in bed at his home in columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – A man laying in his bed, inside his home was truck by a stray bullet on Thursday.

On March 11, at 5:50pm, Columbus Police responded to 1108 Lexington Ave. on the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, 56-year-old Jerry Hannon, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Hannon was subsequently transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.


It was later learned that multiple gunshots were fired outside the home with one of those bullets striking the victim as he lay in bed.
